Unforgettable Beauty Pageant In My Senior High School!

Today, some people in the whole world are watching the Miss Universe Pageant live in Sao Paulo, Brazil and in their respective television and i am one of them. I am always looking forward and never missed to watch every beauty pageant that happened in our world. I loved and admired the most beautiful and brainy women. I am honored and proud to Miss Shamcey Supsup, 3rd Runner up Miss Universe 2011 from our country Philippines. Of course, Congratulations!!! to our new Miss Universe 2011 Miss Leila Lopes for winning the "CROWN". You Really Deserved It! I am happy and agree as well by the judges decision. They don't looked and based in only good characteristics and accomplishments of a woman. I believed, they felt what i feel to help the person and the country continue to live and achieve of what they dream. And i therefore conclude, that a Beauty Queen does not only judge by her beauty and brain but also by her walks of life...

1st Grading Grades!

Today, i went to the school of my daughter at Jose P. Senior High School to get her report card or grades. I was so disappointed and feeling sad for her. She didn't make it to the top 10 of the class. Though, she study her lessons, do her assignments and projects and according to her she also participated in the class which has a big percentage aside from final exam and quizzes. Section 1 students has a Severe Competition of Brains! Still, i encouraged her to be more studious, diligent and persevere and never lose hope. This is just the beginning and a test of your stability.
Here is her grades. She only got an average of 88.8 while top1-10 students have a 92 to 90 average.

It was last sunday when we attended a party at our neighborhood, a relatives of my husband. At last! i came out to my cave and somehow it change my environment and temporarily forget my boredom. I have met other people and having chat with my friends who are also invited in the party. My children were also enjoying the party,  playing and laughing, shouting and running with their friends. A Birthday Invitation!

 I went to Recto Manila last Monday to inquire an invitation for birthday and i conclude to choose this design, as what the owner also requested. A Passport Design. It is just simple and less expensive. It only cost of 40 pesos here in the Philippines. This invitation will be taken to Italy via a friend who will be back soon.    

Creamy Chicken Macaroni Shell Soup

Creamy Chicken Macaroni Shell Soup 

Ingredients;

400g   Macaroni Shell

1 can  Evaporated Milk Small

           Chicken Meat

           Chicken Liver

           Chicken Cubes

           Hotdog

           Onion

           Garlic

           Cabbage

           Carrots

           Fish Sauce or Patis

           Pepper

           Seasoning Granules

           Butter or Margarine

Procedure;

Boil macaroni shell first then set apart when already tender. Just set aside the stock.  

Saute onion and garlic in a butter or margarine then add chicken meat, chicken liver and hotdog. Put a little amount of fish sauce or patis and pepper, wait till become brownish. After that, add the stock of macaroni or you can add more water then let it boil. While boiling, add chicken cubes and evaporated milk, cabbage and carrots and seasoning granules to taste. Then lastly, add the macaroni shell. So easy to cook and full of nutrients. Me and my kids were super like and enjoy, eating our food for lunch and for snacks too.    

           

           

  

My Daily Routine!

Every Monday to Saturday, i wake up at 4:00 in the morning to prepare food for my children and to make sure they eat breakfast before leaving the house. Better not going to school, if the stomach is empty. That's my policy! Then i escorted my youngest daughter to her school, she is in grade 6 right now and hopefully a graduating student with honors. According to her every time they have quizzes, she is always in the 3rd place. Well, i am happy to hear that always from her and encouraging her more to study her lessons instead of always chatting her friends in facebook. Children of today as i observed, were very lazy reviewing their daily lessons and reading their books. They are always depending in research in the internet to just copy and paste then print, which made their life now easier. My other 2 kids were also in morning class schedule. So, they leave me here alone but i go back to sleep to get some energy because i'm always late sleeping at night because of watching my favorite TV programs. But today, i was a little bit busy. I cleaned up the entire house from up to downstairs, wash the dishes and the electric fans. oh! i almost forgot, i also scrub the floor which made me feel tired but it's alright i just think that it is my way of exercise. I really need an exercise because my husband is not here with me again. He is sailing again in the middle of the sea, exploring different countries. hehehe, sorry i just feel alone and lonely but with my kids presence here i must be satisfied for what i am today.                    

Fish Killing of Bangus (Milkfish) & Tilapia!

It's been a one month i think since Fish Killing was happened here in some provinces in the Philippines like Batangas and Pangasinan and still heard lately in TV news. Mostly strikes to fishes like Bangus or Milkfish, Our National Fish of The Philippines which is very tasteful and good for grilled or inihaw, and stew or sinigang and also paksiw. Another fish has been into fish killing is Tilapia, sometimes known as “aquatic chicken”, due to their high growth rates, adaptability to a wide range of environmental conditions, ability to grow and reproduce in captivity and feed on low trophic levels. As a result, these fishes have become excellent candidates for aquaculture, especially in tropical and subtropical regions. Indeed, tilapia culture has been expanding rapidly, and is now practiced in more than one hundred countries worldwide. These are my kids favorite dishes. Actually i did not intend to buy a fish because my children already warned me and told me that they don't want to eat fish yet. And it's true one time i did buy a fish because i was kinda tired of always eating meat, they just ignore the fish and i alone ate it all and thanks that we have a dog i gave some to him. Back to the main topic, yesterday when i saw the fish named tilapia and still alive i immediately bought 1 kilo of it, cost of 100 pesos only, without thinking of my children opinions. When they found out what our viand was last night, they said some comments and perhaps not want to eat but i assured to them that it is alive when i buy it so it means it is safe and healthy. To make the story short, we ate the fried fish Tilapia last night with matching slices of tomatoes sprinkled of a little drops of fish sauce or bagoong. ohhhmmmm yummmmy!          

Typhoon Egay and Falcon caused flood in some places in the Philippines!

It's been 2 weeks already and still raining here. Last week typhoon name is egay and yet unfortunately before he leave, there was an incoming typhoon again named Falcon. Some Provinces and places here in manila right now were suffering high tide flood. Other people were forced to evacuate but others choose to stay in their house. Luckily, our place is very safe and Thanks to Our Almighty Father. As i heard and watching the news, our government and non-government sectors were helping hand on hand again in times of crisis here and i am very proud of them. I salute to you all! I was asking myself now, wondering, where did typhoons come from. Why there is typhoon? And why not only one typhoon in a year either? We only need Rain because rain alone can help us already in so many ways.....We Don't Need You Typhoon, You Bring So Much Rain That Ruined Our Mother Nature And Lives Of Many People, Stay Away From Us!

Different Circulatory System Ailments and their Symptoms.

It's my daugther erika assignment in science. I voluntary helped her to research it in the internet, write down on her assignment notebook. I am doing this so that  she may not be able to play her favorite games in facebook. So wise, isn't i? By the way, here's what i search  and learned from it too, about different ailments we're facing every now and then. Like example of my father's death because of HEART ATTACK. May he rest in peace in heaven with our Almighty God. Amen! 

 1.) Rheumatic Fever - Rheumatic Heart Disease (RF-RHD)

Rheumatic Fever - Rheumatic Heart diseases usually occurs in children. This may start from an inflammation of the throat caused by a germ called streptococcus. The inflammation is called strepthroat. If not cured, strepthroat may develop into rheumatic fever. This fever lasts for weeks.

Its symptoms are swelling of the knees, ankles, wrists and elbows. Abdominal pains, nosebleeds, chest pains and difficulty in breathing also accompany the fever.

If the fever continues, rheumatic heart disease results. This means that valves in the heart are already affected. A child with rheumatic heart disease has difficulty in breathing and easily gets tired.

2.) Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)
There are babies born with defective heart. A newborn baby with a defective heart is called a blue baby. A blue baby is called such because when it cries, the surrounds of the mouth and the fingertips turn bluish. This is a sign that the baby has a congenital heart disease. Congenital means that the disease developed before the baby was born.

If an expectant mother gets sick of German measles during the first three months of pregnancy, the baby may develop some abnormalities. One example is congenital heart disease. A child with a congenital heart disease easily catches respiratory diseases and has a slow rate of growth.

3.) High Blood Pressure
High Blood pressure called hypertension occurs among adults. Too much force exerted by the blood on the arteries causes it. This disease is often called silent killer because it can cause sudden death even if the person looks healthy.

The symptoms of high blood pressure are frequent headaches, dizziness, ringing in the ears, and palpitation. If not controlled, this disease may lead to the enlargement of the heart, a stroke or a heart attach.

Among the causes of hypertension are too much fat and salt in the diet, obesity, and lack of exercise, smoking and drinking of alcoholic beverages. Stress and tension also contribute to the development of this disease.

4.) Coronary Artery Diseases - is the thickening of the artery caused by the accumulation of fatty deposits along the inner lining of the arteries. These fatty deposits are called cholesterol. Blood cannot flow freely when there is much cholesterol in the arteries.

An artery may have a blood clot. This blood clot prevents blood from reaching some of the heart muscles. When the muscles do not get food and oxygen, they become injured, if the injury affects a bigger area, the heart may not be able to pump blood. When this happens, a heart attack occurs.

5.) Anemia - is a disorder of the blood in which the red blood cells are affected. The red blood cells contain hemoglobin, which carries oxygen to body cells to provide energy. The level of the blood cells may be reduced from the normal level. This results in a lack of oxygen in the tissues causing anemia. The symptoms of anemia are fainting, lack of energy and paleness.

6.) Hemophilia - is a disease of the blood, which is inherited. A person with hemophilia is called a bleeder because when he or she bleeds, the blood does not clot or it clots very slowly resulting in the loss of much blood. In this case, the person needs blood transfusion.

7.) Heart Attack - when one of the arteries in the heart stops suddenly, a heart attack occurs. This is an emergency situation, which endangers the life of the patient. A person who has a heart attack suffers from intense pain. He feels that his chest is being squeezed and he has difficulty in breathing. He becomes weak and may vomit. He perspires and looks pale.

When a heart attack occurs, call for a doctor or an ambulance. Place the patient in a half-reclining position with his head and shoulders elevated slightly until a doctor sees him. The victim should remain at rest. Loose his clothing and let him breathe fresh air. Bring the patient immediately to an intensive care unit or heart station in a hospital.

Students are back to school again!

Oh no! School Time Again! Vacation of my students were definitely and absolutely ended. I have to wake up very early in the morning at about 4:00 am to prepare food for my children. Hope i can make it. But i can go back to sleep after they left to get more energy. 

It's My Son Graduation Day with his Father At Last!

We are all happy that papa Apollo could come that day, his professor allowed him to attend the graduation day. At Last! he can join us the unforgettable happiest momentous day of his son. No sadness feeling, we are completely together. I am very thankful to the professor/chief cook of my husband for his kindness and understanding.

My Son's Recognition Day & Baccalaureate Day.....

It was the day that i felt nervous but at the same time a proud mother of my beloved son. Although my husband can't come to join the happiest day of his son due to his culinary training, Paola and Erika his two sisters and i were giving all our support and love to him.

Proud of My Son.....

Yesterday afternoon, when i went home after sending my daughter in school. My co-parent called me and told me that my son is the 4th honor of the class. I am very happy and proud to hear about that information although i have already know that he belongs to the top 10 honor student of the class. I informed my husband about it through text because he stays in a dormitory while having a training in culinary for 2 months. It's company policy for their protection and safety. My husband advised me not to expect too much, i'd better wait on the graduation day so that i will not get upset. So excited on his graduation day, i can climb up the stage to put his medal and congratulate him and give him a tight hug. Because he doesn't want us to hug him anymore, now that he is big and a gentleman already. I never stop reminding my son to study hard and participate in the class & some curricular activities in their school and never feel ashamed if you got mistakes because you will learned a lot from it and that would make you stronger and a better person. Now, he reaps what he sought. Therefore, to my fellow parents never ever get tired of giving advices to our children, restrain them always what is good and bad they are doing for them to know and aware what is wrong and right. Friends, games, lovers can find everywhere but education finds only in school.
